It is not a revolution that has created Generation Medemer. It has not been created as a result of the imposition of the ideas and interest of few individuals or change agents. It is a generation that is striving to find its own way and choose what is in its best interest. This is a generation in which a major political transition has been caused by popular pressure or protest in collaboration with elements within the political elite. However, this process of transition and change has its own shortcomings. This movement is still in search of its ultimate direction and common overarching objectives that would be acceptable to all. It is a process in which instead of mimicking the revolutionary tone of previous transitions in where everything is subjected to radical change, a more reformist and incremental approach has been adopted. The future of our children and grandchildren is going to be determined by how we handle the opportunity we have in our hands right now. It is the sacred duty of this generation to pass on a positive legacy to the next generation, by sowing seeds of goodness and containing the weeds of hate and division from our past.
