During today’s IGF – Internet Governance Forum, Ethiopost CEO Hanna Arayaselassie gave a talk on the postal sector’s role in the digital economy. She reflected on Ethiopost’s active involvement in the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy through its partnership with various governmental and non-governmental institutions such as the one with the National ID Program to register and distribute national ID credentials through its extensive physical network. As mentioned in His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s opening remarks on the Forum, the democratization of knowledge and communication are critical to the wholisitic growth of the continent. To this end, W/ro Hanna emphasized the indispensability of the postal sector’s experience and expertise in logistics and creating access for all as the continent evolves into the digital age.
